Ene Mihkelson (1944-2017) was an Estonian poet and prose writer. Her novels depict the Estonian and post-soviet history and the impact the societal ruptures have had on the human and the society. She writes about betrayal, lack of trust, longing for justice and the need for working though the past. Her work is considered to contribute to the philosophy of remembering.
